1st–3rd: Develop basic skills needed to function confidently, competently and safely in the home, center, school, and neighborhood
4th-5th: Place major emphasis on helping girls develop the skills necessary to function confidently, competently, and safely with minimal adult supervision
Teens: Place major emphasis on promoting the development of basic living skills, as girls become increasingly independent
1st–3rd: Develop basic skills and motivations necessary for participation in sports and adventure
4th-5th: Place major emphasis on helping girls master basic sports skills and enjoy physical activity
Teens: Place major emphasis on helping girls maintain an interest in athletic participation and develop proficiency in the sports of their choice
1st–3rd: Build understanding and experience how they can help themselves and others through leadership and community action.
4th-5th: Place major emphasis on helping girls understand their potential for effecting change within and beyond their local community. Implement programs in which girls explore leadership systems and learn and practice leadership skills.
Teens: Place major emphasis on helping girls exercise power and effect change in their communities and in wider society.
