Girls Incorporated commits its collective resources to implementing a balanced program of supplemental education that empowers girls to live and succeed in an inequitable world. Our programming clearly focuses on girls’ needs with the intent of making a difference in their lives as well as compensating for the gender discrimination girls encounter in society, enabling them to overcome barriers to reaching their full potential.

Our Programs

The six categories of programs that we offer to the girls are:

• Careers and Life Planning
• Health and Sexuality
• Leadership and Community Action
• Sports and Adventure
• Self-reliance and Life Skills
• Culture and Heritage

For each program category, there are objectives for the following age groups:

• Middle Childhood (girls ages 6-8)
• Pre-Adolescence (girls ages 9-11)
• Early Adolescence (girls 12-14)
• Middle Adolescence (girls 15-18)

To plan and conduct programming to meet each girls’ needs requires that the programming must be age appropriate. The age groups for each program category are guidelines and each child is assessed to determine her appropriate developmental stage.

Get Involved with Girls Incorporated

Our center is open each afternoon after school from 2:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. During the summer, the center is open daily from 7:30 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Girls Inc. University 2009 !

Register your daughter for Girls Inc.'s summer program. This summer at GIU your daughter will design a masterpiece which will be on display for all the world to see at the Visual Arts Center from August 12 thru August 18!

Girls Inc. provides programs to inspire all girls 6-16 to reach their full potenial. This summer Girls Inc. University will explore everything from technology to art, world cultures to health and so much more.

To register, visit the Girls Inc. center Monday-Friday 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM.

Summer Dates: June 8 - August 14 from 7:30 am - 6:00 pm

Fee: General Registration after March 31rst - $400.00
